Citizen Guerrilla (MILES Course)

$600.00

Class Date: April 23rd to April 25th 2027

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

This is a MILES course in partnership with S&S Training Solutions. No live ammo is allowed on site.

This is a MILES course that will be taught “in the field”. The class will step off Friday morning and all lectures and learning will take place in the field. There will be an active enemy in the field actively fighting you for the duration of the class. Contact with the enemy can happen at any time during the course. Day, night, in the middle of lunch or a lecture, at any point the bad guys are in play. This “hands on” learning style is targeted to help you learn the experientially the way of the light infantry guerilla.

This is a Guerilla style light infantry course, that is designed to help you, the student, start to think, act and fight like Guerilla / minuteman / light infantry citizen.

This course is aimed at every day American Citizens who want to go a step beyond being expert shooters. This is a thinking course designed for people who desire to better understand tactics and thinking best suited for The American Minuteman.

This 2.5 day course focus on small team tactics / techniques and patrolling from a true light infantry / guerilla perspective. Teams can attend the course together or individuals can be grouped into teams. The purpose of this course is to give you the building blocks necessary to understand how to fight as a guerilla force when you are outnumbered and outgunned. The course will go beyond “battle drills” into attempting to truly think long term for a team that needs to train and function over years, not just the next 30 minutes.

This is not an introductory course. While there are not prerequisites for this course, we are assuming you have a basic familiarity with small unit drills, patrolling and shooting.

Topics Covered:

  • Universal & Omnipresent Gun Safety Rules

  • A Fighting/Winning Mindset

  • What is Light Infantry?

  • What is 3rd Gen Warfare?

  • What are “Guerilla Tactics”?

  • Patrolling methods and practices

  • Foundational Small Unit Tactics and “tactical plays”

What To Bring: - Given that is this a guerilla / light infantry style course, you will be carrying all gear on your person or in your ruck for the duration of the course. There is no FOB, there is no “going back to the truck”. Once we step off, you will not return to base until the end of the course. You will be sleeping in the field each night, water resupply will be available, but other than that, you will have to carry everything you bring.

Plan accordingly: the goal should be that all of your kit - chest rig, ruck, helmet, etc…. would weigh under 45lbs.

Below is a helpful list of things you will need to get started; feel free to adapt this list to your needs. Focus on keeping your kit as light as you can reasonably make it.

  • An open, teachable mind

  • A notebook for taking notes in the field - you will take notes

  • All MILES gear will be issued onsite; Rifle, harness, and ammo. You may bring an optic, light and laser to put on your issued rifle for the duration of the course.

    • Weapon lube, cleaning kit, and tools to fix/work on your rifle

    • A sling for your rifle

  • Battle Rattle: Chest right or webbing

  • 2 TQs and an IFAK (We love the DARK Kits) - 2 TQs is the minimum.

  • Water - 3QT reccomended, no less than 2QT, no more than 4QT (remember you have to stay under 45lbs). Water purification (tabs and / or filter) to make water in the field.

  • Extra Batteries

  • Personal care items - bandaids, tape, toothbrush, etc..

  • Field Stove, canteen cup (and lid), spoon

  • PPE

    • Permethrin treated appropriate clothing suited to dynamic activity.

    • A good pair of pre broken in boots

    • Poncho and cordage- we go rain or shine

    • Gortex Top and Bottoms (best use if it rains)

    • Ear and eye protection

    • Knee pads (if so desired)

    • Gloves

    • Boonie hat or other head gear
